New trio comprised of guitarists Sir Richard Bishop (Sun City Girls) and Ben Chasny (Six Organs of Admittance, Comets on Fire), drummer Chris Corsano and named after the child-eating Balinese Demon Queen. Their first LP "False Flag", out now on Drag City, is in someways reminiscent of the Girls at their noise-blasted free-skronk best. Wheras, in the past Bishop's guitar work frequently utilized Eastern motiffs, here the twin guitarists stick to more American sounding Psych Rock and No Wave zones as well as Minimal Feedback Drone. Corsano keeps the fire burning throughout and lends in auxiliary organ and clarinet. The record shoud be a blueprint for an exhilarating live set. MAJOR STARS

Baylies Band have played shows with Lightning Bolt, Arab On Radar, 6 Finger Satellite, Landed, Neptune, and for some reason Staind and Godsmack. 2/3 of their early recording lineup did a full length cd on Load Records as A Stoveboat. Eric Baylies also plays in Philly based Temple Of Bon Matin (Bulb,Spirit of Orr,Stiltbreeze) who have toured Europe,Asia and about 40 states, playing shows with Boredoms, USA Is A Monster, Andrew WK, Gang Gang Dance, Thurston Moore, Psychic TV. Eric has played or recorded with members of Sun Ra, The Stooges, and Acid Mothers Temple. Well that's a lot of guilt by association, but what does their music sound like? Expect raw psych heaviness and wah wah.
